THE 10th SUMMER SCHOOL ON REAL FUNCTIONS THEORY

The Mathematical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava and Kosice, is organizing the traditional "Summer School on Real Functions Theory" dedicated to the 70th birthday of Professor Tibor Salát.

The programme and organizing committee consists of: B. Riecan (chairman), J. Borsík, J. Dobos, R. Fric, J. Haluska. Local organizing committee: K. Stefancíková.

The conference programme will cover the topics: generalized continuity, differentiability, and integrability, structures on the real line as well as applications. Six invited lectures given by

and 20min communications by participants have been planned. The mathematical community is warmly invited to attend.

The Tatra Mountains Mathematical Publications journal is planning a special issue in honour of Professor Tibor Salát. This issue will also serve as conference proceedings and all contributions will be refereed as usual.

The Conference will take place at the Hotel Stavoindustria in Liptovský Ján, September 8 (arrival day) -- September 13, 1996. The village of Liptovský Ján (650 m above the sea level) is located within beautiful surroundings of the Low Tatra Mountains in the North Slovakia near the town of Liptovský Mikulás (12 km). It provides outstanding tourist conditions, swimming pool with thermal water and sauna and other attractions. The lodging in the Hotel Stavoindustria is comfortable and the place meets well the needs of a scientific meeting. The total cost of the conference (including accommodation, full board, banquet, and the conference fee) will be approximately 140 USD.
