• Sodium and water retention:

  • CHF, Hypertension, ascites, edema

• Enhanced sensitivity to extra-renal sodium and water loss

  • vomiting, diarrhea, fever, sweating
  • Symptoms: dry mouth, dizziness, tachycardia, etc.

• Recommendations

  • Avoid excess salt and water intake
  • Diuretics or dialysis
