Leadership Roles
- Deputy Director, Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute (SAMSI), 2017-2019.
- Oversaw all education and outreach activities, including national-level undergraduate modeling workshops and engagement with minority-serving institutions.
- Directed the Professional Development Workshop series for postdocs and graduate students, focusing on academic and non-academic career preparedness.
- Served as Graduate Fellow Coordinator, providing mentorship and facilitating interdisciplinary research activities (2018-2019).
Strategic Program Development
- Co-developed the SAMSI Associates Program to build partnerships with industry leaders such as Bayer, SAS, and Valassis
- securing $100K in postdoc support.
- Led SAMSI participation in major national STEM diversity conferences, including SACNAS, Blackwell-Tapia, and Infinite Possibilities.
- Served as Directorate Liaison for the Climate Program, organizing the Climate Opening Workshop featuring 40+ speakers from NASA, LBNL, UNC, and more.
- Collaborated in national interdisciplinary initiatives (NSF TRIPODS, DOE Labs), focusing on fairness in AI and digital twin development.
Institutional Initiatives at Auburn
- Co-organized the Statistics & Data Science Seminar Series at Auburn University (2020, 2022), fostering cross-disciplinary exchange and student involvement.
- Initiated collaborations between the Center for Data Science and Innovation and regional health institutions, laying groundwork for research and workforce partnerships.
- Led Auburn University's institutional participation in ASA AL-MS Chapter meetings and mentoring pipelines (2022-Present).
