Bowen's Reaction Series - a petrologist's perspective on crystallization of igneous minerals and magma differentiation.
Use Bowen's reaction series to review the occurrences, structures, and chemistries of silicate minerals

know these minerals for the final, in terms of their chemical formula structure relationships to other minerals (associations, solid solutions, diagrams)
olivines (forsterite)
pyroxenes (esp. orthopyroxenes and augite)
amphiboles (esp. orthoamphiboles and hornblende)
micas (esp. muscovite and biotite)
feldspars (both the alkali and plagioclase feldspars)
silica minerals (occurrences of the SiO2 polymorphs, and their approximate P-T stability)
