RESEARCH INTERESTS

General coordination chemistry (synthesis, structure and reactivity). Compounds of Groups IVB and VB. Boron hydride chemistry. Chemistry of phosphorus and nitrogen fluorides. Asymmetric syntheses and homogeneous catalysis by chiral and achiral phosphine complexes.Fate of contamiants in the aquatic and subsurface environment. Enhanced phosphorus removal in activated sludge. Low level detection of compounds which cause taste and odor in drinking water. Analytical techniques for low level pollutant detection. Environmental Chemistry.

QUALIFICATIONS

Dr. Hill has has published over 85 papers in peer reviewed journals as well as a number of conference proceedings and technical reports. He holds eight patents and has directed fourteen Ph.D students and eight M.S. students.Research funding has been in excess of $2.1 million.
