AIMS Migration Facility/Introduction/Overview

The AIMS Migration Facility (AMF) is a series of AIMS applications that will migrate programs, screens, prompters, VSAM file definitions and interfaces from test Mantis libraries into appropriate production libraries. The main features can be summarized as follows:

Selection list provided for migration selection
Automatic selection of programs for the Mantis shared program pool
Automatic refreshing of the Mantis shared program pool
Migrated members take effect immediately
Table-driven migration authorizations

A summary of the AIMS Migration Facility process:

Start in the test environment
All applications are on the AMM submenu
Use AMI and/or AMT to place Mantis programs, screens, prompters, VSAM file definitions and interfaces into the Mantis transfer file.
Have your supervisor use the AMF application in the production environment to move the Mantis entities from the Mantis transfer file into production.
