AIMS Migration Facility/Frequently Asked Questions
- I can't use AMF to migrate. Why not?
- The ability to use AMF (the final step in the migration process) is
controlled by the AMF table. A value of
Y indicates the ability to use the AMF application. Use
of this application is restricted. See your supervisor if you feel this
is in error.
- How do I delete a migration request?
- There really isn't a migration request per se. However, the
members to be migrated do reside in the Mantis transfer bin. They can be
removed (under Test AIMS) by using the XFR application.
- How do I know when a migration has been completed?
- The person who completed your migration should keep you informed.
- I had a program migrated and the changes do not seem to
be working (or even showing up) in Production AIMS.
- One of the most common mistakes here is being in the wrong
environment. You must use the AMI and AMT applications
in the test environment and AMF in the
production environment.
- How do I start a migration?
- The migration is started by putting the Mantis entities to be
migrated into the transfer bin in the test environment
by using either the AMI or the AMT application.
