Batch Job Documentation System
Miscellaneous Topics/Tables
Tables Used
Application System Table (DAS)
This table is used to identify valid acronyms for application systems.
The key of the table is the system acronym (e.g., FRS is the acronym
for the Financial Records System). This acronym is needed for the
Job Setup screen, and can also be used on the Job Selection screen as
a search field.
Documentation Job Miscellaneous Table (DJM)
This table contains miscellaneous values used in the incident/problem
reporting part of the batch job documentation system.
Documentation Job Application System Table (DJS)
This table documents application systems. Job naming standards
indicate that the first three characters of a job name indicate the
application system. This table documents those systems.
Documentation Special Instructions Table (DSI)
This screen permits entry of comments and special instructions for a
job. Each comment or special instruction is classified into a category.
These categories are specified on the DSI table.
Documentation Job Application Subsystem Table (DSS)
This table documents application subsystem names. Job naming standards
indicate that the first three characters of a job name indicate an
application system. The fourth character (which must be numeric)
indicates the subsystem. This table documents application subsystems.
Documentation Parameter Type Table (JPT)
On the Job Input Parameters screen (DJP), a parameter to
be entered is classified by type. Easytrieve Plus parameters are
different from Cobol parameters in the way they appear in JCL. The
parameter type categories are specified on this table.
