Textbook: Custom Mathematics: Probability & Statistics for Engineers, by  Ronald E. Walpole, Raymong H. Myers, Sharon L. Myers and Keying Ye,  Pearson 2012
Course Description: We will try to cover Chapters 2 to 10.

Grading Policy: There will be weekly quiz (20%), two midterms (25%+25%) in class and the final exam (30%). The dates for the exams are
Midterm 1 Feb. 23 (Monday) in class
Midterm 2 Apr. 6 (Monday) in class
Final May 14. (Thursday) 13:30-16:00
No conflict exams and No make-up exams.

Homework: There will be suggested exercises listed here after each lecture. Try to do them to see if you understand the materials. The solutions will be posted once per week. Note that homework will not be collected nor graded. However, the weekly quiz problems and the exams will be based on the exercises both in the lecture notes and in the homeworks. Thus, the only way to keep up with the pace of this course is to solve, at the very least, the assigned homework problems in a timely fashion.
Quiz: Quiz will be given every Friday (approximately) in the beginning of the class and will be based on the homework and the course notes of the recent three lectures. The lowest 2 quizzes will be dropped, and therefore, there is No make-up quiz. Solutions to the quizzes are listed here.
