Topic Proposal for Writing Project 3

1. The proposal must be at least one page, typed, double spaced.
2. The contents of the proposal include your (a) topic—the icon for which your essay will offer a semiotic interpretation , (b) your reasons for thinking this topic is an icon, (c) an overview of what you know about the topic, and (d) your reasons for believing the audience (which you must identify) will be interested.
3. I must approve the topic before you begin Draft 4.1.
4. Email the proposal to me before you leave class.
