Wisconsin Reunion
September 29-30, 2001

Those of us getting together for the mini-reunion are shown in the group pictures above and below:
L to R: Dick Waldman, Joe Dahmer, Bob Weiss, Steve Schmidt, Joe Cloud, Larry Borchert, Harold Herring,
Dave Anderson, Steve Carr, Bob Olson, Gerry Weiss (only in picture below), Charles Maxwell, and Ralph Sair.
Craig Cooper participated in the Saturday events but had to return home before the group picture was taken.
Several of "our" faculty joined us for various events over the weekend! Drs. "Ben" Benevenga, Bob Bray, Bill Moody, Bob Grummer, and Art Pope were at the Sunday Brunch. Bill Moody was one of us as a visiting professor during the late 1960's.
Dr. Bob Cassens and his wife graciously opened their home to everyone on Saturday afternoon for a social get-together. Gerry Weiss was instrumental in getting us together. His many hours of work, letters, and telephone calls are appreciated.
Charles Maxwell, Dr. Pope, and Joe Dahmer reminisce about old times. Everyone was glad to see Dick and Annabelle Waldman (Alice Borchert, Annabelle and Dick Waldman, Betty and Harold Herring, Joe Cloud, and Margaret and Steve Schmidt (backs to camera). Dick's quick smile and laugh have not changed!
A couple of overview pictures. Conversation was lively, and laughter was frequent. Can you name everyone?

Dr. Benevenga and Anita Olson. Ben and other faculty enjoyed the weekend as much as the former graduate students! Larry Borchert enjoyed the many stories as much as
the rest of us.
Carol and Dave Anderson. Larry and Alice Borchert.
Annabelle and Dick Waldman. Margaret & Steve Schmidt and Carol & Dave Anderson.
The Mound Street crew: Dave Anderson, Craig Cooper, and Steve Schmidt. Ron Dalrymple, we missed you! "Ben" Benevenga, Bob Olson, Joe Dahmer. At one time, when these three got together, it was a serious biochemistry discussion. Could it still be...?
Steve Schmidt and Charles Maxwell. Art Pope and Dick Waldman.
Joe Cloud and Joe Dahmer. You didn't want to be playing linebacker when these two were blocking for the ball carrier! Craig Cooper.
The wives also enjoyed getting together again: Gayle Maxwell, Joan Weiss, Annabelle Waldman, and Betty Herring Charles Maxwell and his major professor, Bob Grummer.
When the story-telling began, Dr. Bray remembered when Bernie Link's heifer got out of the Stock Pavilion, ran across to the dorms and down the lake path, jumped into the lake, and had to be rescued by the police boat. And Dick said to Bernie, "Bernie, that heifer just broke out of the Stock Pavilion and is headed for the lake." Bernie calmly continued what he was doing and said, "So?" The rest of the group took off running toward the lake!
Bill Moody, Dave and Carol Anderson enjoyed the stories. "You should have seen the fish that got away. Its would have measured this much above Harold's head!"
Everyone had a fun time at the reunion. We missed those of you who could not come and wished you could have been there.
