  • Great Depression

    Data from the Census of Manufactures, 1929-1935, available from ICPSR. More data is avaialble upon request (some industry specific variables or incomplete industries, for example). Data specifically for "Did the National Recovery Administration Foster Collusion? Evidence from the Macaroni Industry" and "Cementing the Case for Collusion under the National Recovery Administration" is availble upon request.
  • Crime

    Data for "Socioeconomic Status and Judicial Disparities in England and Wales, 1870-1910" is available from openICPSR, for 1870, 1883, and 1910 (in Stata form). From the Calendar of Prisoners for England and Wales. Original transcriptions made by me from photographs taken in the National Archives. 1870 and 1910 contain Assizes and Quarter Sessions, 1883 also transcriptions from the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) as well as more detail such as amount stolen and identity of victims. "Economic Development and the Demographics of Criminals in Victorian England" additionally uses data from the Proceedings of the Old Bailey website.
