I was born in Houston, Texas, but I grew up in Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania. In addition to doing school work, I was a three sport athlete and a member of the symphonic band and the pep band. I graduated from Manheim Township High School in Lancaster, PA in 1999.
I continued my academic and athletic careers at Franklin & Marshall College
(Lancaster, PA) and graduated in May 2003 with a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics. I was a pole
vaulter for the Franklin
& Marshall Diplomats and was selected as an Academic
All-American and an NCAA post-graduate scholarship recipient in

I moved to College Station, Texas, where in 2009 I received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. While in Texas I was actively involved in swing dancing.
I lived in Europe from 2009-2011, where I was a postdoc in Florence, Italy on an NSF international research fellowship at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Florence.

From 2011-2013 I was a postdoc in the Research Training Group on Representation Theory, Combinatorics and Geometry at the University of California, Berkeley.
Since 2013 I've been working at Auburn University. I was awarded tenure in 2018, and served as Associate Chair and Undergraduate Program Officer in 2019-2020.
In addition to doing mathematics and traveling, I enjoy photography.
