Pengyu Chen is an Associate Professor in Materials Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering at Auburn. He received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanjing University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Clemson University in 2012 and worked as a research fellow in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan from 2013-2016. Chen's research focuses on advanced nanomaterial based biosensors for biomarker detection, single cell secretion imaging, and cellular communication. He has a broad interest in Biophysics, Biosensing, Medicine/NanoEHS, and Immunology.
