Research and Consulting
I am primarily a physical geographer with a wide
range of interests. My research focus revolves around using remote
sensing and GIS to examine land use changes and the impacts that these
changes have on the environment. I am particularly interested in anthropogenic
induced changes in the environment and therefore I seek to interrelate
some human aspects in my research. Here are a few areas that I have
concentrated my studies on:
- Understanding natural and human induced
changes of disturbed landscapes.
- Agricultural impacts on water quantity
and quality of water bodies.
- Developing remote sensing methods to detect
water-stressed vegetation.
If you are a student or faculty member and have
questions about this type of work or would be interested in working
on potential projects in a collaborative effort, please feel free
to contact me. I also have some time available for consultation to
government agencies and industry.
