About Me

 

 

I am a professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University. I am also currently Coordinator of Statistics and Data Science Program.   Previously, I was on the faculty of Department of Mathematics at Cukurova University in Turkey from 1992-2003. My primary research interests include robust multivariate data analysis, robust functional data analysis, outlier detection. I am Elected Member of ISI since 2012 and serves as the country representative of the ISI Committee on Women in Statistics (CWIS). I serve as an associate editor of Communications in Statistics in Theory and Methods and Simulation and Computation. I was awarded to be Fullbright Specialist Scholar in 2016. I advised numerous Ph.D./M.S. students and served on numerous interdisciplinary Ph.D./M.S. graduate committees. I am the recipient of the departmental awards for Outstanding Teacher of Graduate Students and Excellence in Teaching .
