There are three questions I had been searching for answers. The answers
of these questions play a very important role in my life. The answers of
these questions influence my perspective of life, determine my way of living
and giving me hope for my destiny. These three important questions are:
- Where did I come from?
- What am I here for?
- Where am I going?
As a designer, I have to choose to believe Creation
over Evolution. Along human history, artifacts are made according to the
purpose and plan of their makers. It would be contradicting if an artifact
is made solely depended on chances. It requires more faith to believe the
universe being happened by chances than to believe it being created by
an almighty creator. Just like a watch having a designer/maker will be
more acceptable than being put together by random chances. How can someone
believes in random chances and denies an intellectual designer of the universe,
in the same time believes in design? If a system comes to exist just because
of random chances plus long period of time, then we don't need any designer
at all. Why do we want to solve problems in the first place. Why don't
we just let the ODDS figure it out?
The Bible tells me that I am created by God. He wants to have the relationship
with me according to His original plan but I have fall
short the glory of Him because of my sins (Romans 3:23). He loves me
so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to die for me on the cross for
my sins. And He raised Jesus from death so that I am justified (Romans
4:25). Because I have trusted Jesus as my personal Saviour and Lord, now
in Christ I am living for God's glory and learn to serve Him for the rest
of my life on earth. One day, as Jesus promised, He will come back and
take me to His glory for eternity, and fulfill God's eternal plan.
The bible said: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one
and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he
has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son (John 3:16-18).
There are more other reasons that I believe
in Jesus Christ though they are not the main reason. Now my belief is not
just head knowledge but a personal relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ.
Others have to experience it to understand: just like my relationship with
my father that no one can deny or judge.
