Venue

The venue for the workshop will be the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center (AUHCC).  All talks and poster sessions will take place at the AUHCC in the conference center space on the first floor.  The detailed scientific program can be found on the Program page.

Lab Tours:  The tours of Auburn University physics research facilities will take place on Wednesday afternoon.  The location will be the Leach Science Center.  For those who wish to walk, it is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the AUHCC (a campus map will be provided).  The Workshop will provide a shuttle bus, departing about every 20 minutes, to and from the Leach Science Center.

Conference Banquet:  The conference banquet will be held at the Auburn University Club (1650 Yarborough Farms Blvd, Auburn, AL 36830, about 3.3 miles / 5 km) north of downtown Auburn.  It is about a 10-12 minute drive.  Shuttle buses will be provided to take Workshop participants to and from banquet location.

Locale:  The towns of Auburn and Opelika offer a variety of options for dining.  In Auburn, there is a restaurant at the AUHCC (Ariccia) and numerous establishments within a 10 minute walk of the conference hotel including coffee shops, pubs, and full service restaurants.  

The student center on the Auburn University campus is another option for a quick meal at lunchtime with dining services on the first and second floors.  

The adjacent town of Opelika (about a 10 minute drive) offers a nice variety of very nice restaurants in the historic district as well as a local brew pub, a local distillery.
